DESCRIPTION:José A. Hoyos  (Université de São Paulo\, Brésil) \nAbstract : \nWe investigate the effects of impurities on the unitary evolution of an interacting quantum system after a quench. For a large variety of quench protocols\, the impurities become locally highly excited while the bulk practically remains in its ground state. As a consequence\, the system’s early-times dynamics is dominated by the impurities and new dynamical quantum phase transitions appear. Finally\, we interpret our results as a dynamical analog of the Griffiths singularities in equilibrium thermodynamics. \n\n
