Hydrogen is playing an increasingly important role in this energy transition. However, its use requires efficient storage methods. Current approaches, such as high-pressure gaseous storage and cryogenic storage, present significant risks and limitations. Solid-state storage offers a promising alternative, but faces challenges in terms of reversibility and thermal management.<\/p>\n<p>In this thesis, we explored manganese-based nanostructured metallic materials for reversible hydrogen storage, with the aim of overcoming the limitations of existing storage methods in terms of safety and efficiency. These materials are of particular interest because of their ability to form Kubas-type interactions with hydrogen, thus combining the size effects of nanomaterials with the intrinsic properties of manganese. Our research focused on two main aspects: firstly, the study of manganese hydride, a promising material for storage, and secondly, the synthesis and exploration of the properties of manganese nanoparticles.<\/p>\n<p>An economic study was also carried out. The economic impact of adopting hydrogen in the transport sector was studied, with particular attention paid to the phenomenon of co-investment.
